BM BOARD P are rectangular sheets made from Polymer modified bitumen compound sandwiched between thermos-fusible polyethylene films and have a center core of Non-woven Spun bonded polyester mat as reinforcement. They have supreme waterproofing qualities along with commendable features such as dimensional stability, high puncture resistance, Tear resistance and toughness to withstand site abuse. They exhibit good UV resistance and durability.
Uses:
BM BOARD P are commonly used to protect single or multi-layer water proofing membrane systems. They offer permanent protection. BM BOARD P preserves the membrane from any damage by absorbing the impact of smaller aggregate shock during the backfill and also from any damage caused by foot traffic, sharp edges of reinforcement steel rods. BM BOARD P with smooth thermos-fusible polyethylene surface is specifically used for covered applications.
Application:
The surface to be protected should be clean, dry, firm, even and free from any surface imperfection.
Use bituminous rubber modified adhesives or adhesive tapes or torch propane/butane gas (over the torch-on membrane protection only) for fixing BM BOARD P over the waterproofing membrane. Boards are placed closely as butt joint and not overlapped, the butt joint needs to be protected with approx.50mm width. HDPE is sandwiched on one side with self-adhesive tape to refrain any backfill material from entering and subsequently leading to damage of the waterproofing membrane.
