BM FELT membranes are Polymer modified bitumen membranes, consists 2 layers of HDPE polyethylene film. A unique technology, having very good flexible waterproofing qualities with excellent elongation.
Uses:
BM FELT membranes are ideal for general use in single or multi-layer waterproofing systems intended for concrete protections. It may be used for horizontal and vertical application and damp proof course for tanking below ground structures and retaining walls.
Application
The surface should be always clean, dry, firm, even and free from dust. The membranes are bonded to the surface by using cold adhesive or hot pour bitumen. The laying should start from the lowest point of the roof and overlapping should be formed so as to shed water. Overlap shall be sealed with sufficient adhesives/bitumen. The overlaps of adjacent rolls should be staggered. The side laps should be minimum 8cm and end laps 15 cm. Details such as corners, edges and joints should be carefully prepared in advance by adhesive and fixing strips of BM FELT in place.
